"Walking" between the historical houses

About

"Walking" between the historical houses

PREAMBLE: All the "step by step" routes presented in our application start from the heart of the city (The Royal Court) and return here, regardless of whether the route is linear or circular. Also, we start from the premise that the tourist attractions of the Royal Court have been visited beforehand: the Tower of Stephen the Great with the Royal Church "Sfântul Ioan Domnesc" and the two cellars, but also the Museums of Art, Ethnography and Cucuteni Neolithic Art.

DIRECTIONS AND ORIENTATION: This tourist route will first take you on Ștefan cel Mare street, the city's thoroughfare with the most beautiful houses and villas, some relatively new, built in the local architectural spirit, and others old, included on the list of historical monuments. You will then go down Mihail Sadoveanu Street, after which you will turn left onto Alexandru cel Bun, another street with many interesting buildings. From the Palace of the Post Office, recently rehabilitated, you will head towards the "Calistrat Hogaș" memorial house, and then you will cross Republicii Boulevard and go to the School no. 3. Here "The little mermaid" welcomes you, followed by Paharnicului House, among the oldest restaurants in the city. The route will then direct you to Mihai Eminescu Boulevard, and from here, back to the Central Park and the Royal Court.

DISTANCE AND TIME: 3km (circular route) / 45min actual walk, 2-3h with visits and breaks.

FOOD & DRINK OFFER: Use the EAT & DRINK section of the app to find and choose locations near the route, in case you want to have a meal or a drink.
