First documentary attestation of Royal Court of Piatra-Neamț shows in a document realeased in year 1491.

The Royal Court from Piatra-Neamț had acomplished the duties of court of Moldova rulers until 17th century. Starting with year 2010, Royal Court Esembly had began a wide process of rehabilitation. The beautiful foundation of Ștefan the Great is still preserved today in Piatra-Neamț City beeing know as historic city center. 

Located on a plateau around which it has developed the actual city, architectural complex is formed by "Saint Ioan Domnesc" Church, Bell Tower and the wall of the enclosure with the Royal Court Museum.

Virgil Bărbuceanu" has that "something" which, for the practitioners and supporters of equestrian sports, means much more than a day spent there, it means peace, relaxation and the appreciation of the special bond between people and animals. Equestrian base "Col. Virgil Bărbuceanu" from Piatra Neamț, established in 1986, is one of the most equipped equestrian bases in the country, being chosen as the host of several stages of the World Show Jumping Cup, as well as of several national competitions. Within this equestrian base, you can practice recreational riding on well-established routes by the base staff, horseback tourism for those who have equestrian knowledge and skills, day trips on the Bâtca Doamnei - Bahrin route, leisure with the carriage both for walking and for special events, horse-drawn sleigh rides (in winter). Also within the base, horses are trained for participation in competitions and riding lessons can also be taken.

Roman-Catholic Cathedral "Saint Iosif Muncitorul" was built in 1895 and between 1936-1939 has been subjected to several renovations. The church had changed the look starting with year 2012. Historical files certify the existence of Catholics on Moldova region from 13th century. Next centuries, lots of Catholics had migrated from Transilvania to Moldova and so in 1884 was founded The Roman-Catholic Bishopric from Iași.

The "Baal Shem Tov" wooden synagogue from Piatra Neamţ is a testimony of numerous Jewish communities that have existed since the Middle Ages.  The current building was built on the oldest place, based on the letter of July 19, 1766, signed by the voivode Grigore III Ghica.  The old synagogue was by stone, but since the early 18th century it was only allowed to raise wooden synagogues.  In the eastern wall of the synagogue is a "One Holy," a true work of art made of wood carved in 1835 by Sharaga Iţchok ben Moische, disposed in three floors, each of them standing on rounded columns covered with bronze and silver.  The altar, blown with gold, is 250 years old. The synagogue is linked to the name of Baal Shem Tov, the founder of Hasidism. VISITING HOURS: Monday-Friday: 9 am - 2 pm (individuals and groups larger than 10 persons)                           2 pm - 4 pm (only groups larger than 10 persons) Saturday and Sunday: 10 am - 2 pm (only groups over 10 people) For groups you must make an appointment at least one day before. ACCESS FEES: 15 RON/person for individual visits 10 RON/person for groups NOTE: tours can be held both in English and Hebrew.

At Văleni is one of the oldest and durable wooden churches from Moldova, built in the middle of dense forest, during the reign of Petru Rares, in the year 1538. It was rebuilt by Lăpuşneanu and then by Ieremia Movilă. When you step into it, is like stepping into a museum that presents an exceptional pictorial treasure. Here was a school – iconographic painting workshop. Over 100 icons coming from here, values ​​of national heritage, are in Agapia, Văratec, Neamţ and Bistriţa monasteries museums, knowing more than 150 icons whose origin refers to Văleni, not counting those scattered in private collections. Here are a few reasons why the oldest wooden church in Neamţ County, now a parish church, is worth a visit.

In year 1930 it has began the construction of Precista Curch from Piatra-Neamț and in year 1947 this was holy by Moldova's and Suceava's Metropolitan, Irineu Mihălcescu and by P.S. Iustinian, later Patriarch of Romanian Orthodox Church. At holy service also was priest Constantin Mătasă, the one that animated the beginning and the end of this Holy Church.
