#PRINEAMT ITINERARY NO.5 „AGAPIA (THE MONASTERY, THE HEMITAGE, MUZEUL ȘI CASA MEMORIALĂ) - THE MONASTERIES OF SIHLA - SIHĂSTRIA - SECU” PREAMBLE: All itineraries by car through Neamț county promoted in our application start from the heart of the city (The Royal Court). Regardless of whether they are drawn circularly or linearly, they return to Piatra-Neamț, the details of distances and time being presented below. Some of the attractions are visitable, while others that are on the route can simply be admired either from the distance or by making short detours from the main route. Feel free to decide! But it's good to know that all tourist attractions tell their own story, which is also the reason why we included in the itinerary places more or less known to the general public. DIRECTIONS AND ORIENTATION: This touristic route will first take you to Agapia, one of the most beautiful monasteries in the entire Neamț County. After visiting it, it's good to know that the "Alexandru Vlahuță" memorial house and the Vivant Museum are nearby, both must-see. You will then proceed along the Agapia river valley to the Sihla Monastery, where the wretched cave of Pious Theodora is located. The next stop is at Sihăstrie, a monastery in the heart of the mountains that began to write its history since 1655. You will end this circuit of the counties' monasteries at Secu, another religious place located in a wonderful natural setting. If you don't want to return on the same route, continue towards Leghin village, and here turn right towards Humulești (today the southern district of Tg. Neamț). Further on, drive on DN15C in the south direction towards Piatra-Neamț via Bălțatești. DISTANCE AND TIME: 70 km (outbound) and 60 km (return via Tg. Neamț-Bălțătești), so 130 km in total / 3 hours actually driving (round trip), approximately 8-9 hours with visits, breaks and possibly lunch. EAT & DRINK: The locations along the route where you can eat and drink and that we can recommend are: Conacul Pavăl in Nemțişor, Pension Aristocratis in Tg. Neamț and Pension Eden in Humulestii Noi. You can find them on Google Maps along with many other restaurants in the vicinity of the city. Instead, those in Piatra-Neamț are also listed in the EAT & DRINK section of the application.

#PRINEAMT ITINERARY NO.3 „BICAZU ARDELEAN - PĂSTRĂVĂRIA BISTRA MONTANA - POIANA STĂNILE (CEAHLĂU MASSIF)” PREAMBLE: All itineraries by car through Neamț county promoted in our application start from the heart of the city (The Royal Court). DIRECTIONS AND ORIENTATION: This touristic route will first take you to the town of Bicaz, then to the village of Bicazu Ardelean, where a beautiful wooden church with a history of over 300 years awaits you. From here you will continue towards the village of Telec, and at the fork you will turn right and keep going until you reach the Trout Farm Bistra Montana. Depending on how you organize your time and plan your day, you can dine here, but remember to call ahead for a reservation. Next to the trout farm is the information point of the Ceahlău National Park Administration, where you can purchase your access ticket to the reservation. It costs 10 lei/adult and 5 lei/child/pupil/student/pensioner, but you will need cash because the installed machine does not have the option to pay by card. In this perimeter, two forest roads intersect, and you will go to the right, following the forest road from the valley of the Bistra Mică River. It is 7km long, it is quite well maintained, it can be climbed with almost any type of car (except for very low ones) and it takes no more than an hour. In Poiana Stănile is the Hermitage of the same name and this is also where most of those who climb Ceahlău park their cars. If you have an SUV, jeep or any type of car with a high guard, the forest road continues beyond the barrier, for another 3 km, to the "hiding parking place" point. After you park your car and take everything you need with you, you will travel on route no. 7 of the Ceahlău Massif, the shortest and easiest of them all. Our recommendation is to spend the night at Cabana Dochia, to enjoy this whole experience in peace. DISTANCE AND TIME: 60 km (linear route, so 120 km round trip on the same route) / 2 hours by car and another 2 hours on the mountain route (only one way in both cases). We must mention that we did not take into account the possible visit to the wooden church and/or lunch at the trout farm. EXTENSION: If you made it to the Dochia Hut, regardless of whether you spend a night here or not, it would be a shame not to climb the Toaca Peak. And don't be put off by the 519 steps at the base. These are extremely photogenic and we're sure you'll take lots of great pictures to frame. As for the view from the top, it is truly overwhelming. You will be able to admire the entire plateau of the Ceahlău Massif, the Panaghia rock (one of the symbols of the mountain), the Izvorul Muntelui lake (considered the sea of the Carpathians) and many other settlements, including the city of Piatra Neamț (only 30 km away in a straight line). FOOD & DRINK: The locations on the route where you can eat and drink and that we can recommend are: the trout farm Cheița near Bicaz, the trout farm Bistra Montana from Telec or the restaurant at the Dochia Hut. You can find them on Google Maps along with many other restaurants in the vicinity of the city. Instead, those in Piatra-Neamț are also listed in the EAT & DRINK section of the application.

DIRECTIONS AND ORIENTATION: This tourist route will first take you to the city of Bicaz, and here you can stop for a few moments to admire the building of the History Museum (included in the list of historical monuments from Neamț). You will then continue for only 5km on the DN15 and turn left towards the Izvorul Muntelui resort. The view that opens in this small holiday village towards the Ceahlău Massif will make you stop for two or three photos. You will then enter the axial road (or "TransCeahlăul" as it is known among the locals), a recently rehabilitated road and a pleasure for all those who are passionate about driving. With a length of 25 km, it connects the two resorts (Izvorul Muntelui - Durău) directly through the heart of the mountain. After a potential stop in Durău, you will go to the Ceahlău village, but just before that, it is worth making a short detour to see the ruins of the Cnejilor Palace. The next point in the itinerary is the viaduct at the "tail of the lake" and the mysterious "Piatra Teiului". From here, you will make your way back to Bicaz, on the superb road (also recently completely rehabilitated) that winds along the shore of the Izvorul Muntelui lake. The last stop is at the Bicaz Dam, another #mustsee for all tourists visiting Neamț County. DISTANCE AND TIME: 150 km (circular route / 3 hours actually driving, approximately 8-9 hours with visits, breaks and possibly lunch. #PRINEAMT NO.6  ITINERARY „THE ȘERBEȘTI ROCK - THE RĂZBOIENI MONASTERY-  THE STYRCEA MANSION - THE ANCUȚEI INN - THE FOLK MUSEUM „NICOLAE POPA” OF TÂRPEȘTI” PREAMBLE: All itineraries by car through Neamț county promoted in our application start from the heart of the city (The Royal Court). DIRECTIONS AND ORIENTATION: This touristic route starts towards the direction of Girov commune, and next to the Octano gas station you will turn left. In the center of the village of Ștefan cel Mare are the ruins of the Şerbești Inn (which is in the process of restoration), and at the exit of the village, in the east direction, you will find the mysterious and spectacular Şerbești rock. The detour is definitely worth it and additionally you can also do some exercise. In the neighboring village of Cârligi you will find the "Three Hierarchs" church, built in 1827. The next stop is the Războieni Monastery, one of the most representative monasteries in Moldova built by Stephen the Great, a #mustsee of this itinerary. At the northern exit of Tupilați village, the ruins of the Catargi Mansion await you, a negative example of how to manage a historically valuable place. Then, we recommend you make a detour of 7 km to the town of Văleni, where you will also find a positive example of the enhancement of an old mansion. The Styrcea mansion is no longer open to the general public, but it is really worth admiring it from the outside due to its architectural simplicity and natural setting. You will then return to Tupilați, turn right, cross the bridge over the Moldova River, after which you will reach the Ancuței Inn, probably the most famous inn in all of Romania. Allocate as much time as you can to this place - to dine, to visit the cellar, to see the rooms of the inn and to enjoy the terrace of the place. On the way back, if your batteries still hold, visit the folk museum "Nicolae Popa" in Târpești, impressive thanks to the personal collection of a local who loves tradition. From here you will continue west to Săcălăușești, and then south to Bălțateși, then back to Piatra-Neamț. DISTANCE AND TIME: 140 km in total (circular route) / 2 h 30 min actual drive, approximately 8-9 h with visits, breaks and possibly lunch. EAT & DRINK: There are various locations along the route where you can eat and drink and you can find them with a simple search on Google Maps, but we recommend that you organize your time in such a way as to have lunch at the Ancuței Inn. The experience of this day will be a complete one.
